Malaysia is where a lot of our story begins. Our first batches came off the eastern side, resin dripping pieces out of Sarawak and Sabah. But it's the western states collectors really talk about, and this is one of those.

There was a time the phone rang constantly with news out of Malaysia. Now it seldom rings, and when it does it's usually someone selling back what they bought years ago. When did you last see West Malaysian ant nest offered? Not oil. Wood.

On the heat it goes purple, and it's sweet with it. Black grape skin and berry, closer to jam than wine, sat on warm resin. It gives it up slowly, so keep the heat low. Push it and you'll waste the best of it in ten minutes.
