There is a tier of Hindi oud very few alive have smelled: vintage Indian distillations from an era when the wood was great and commissioned by the Diwan of Sultan Qaboos. This is one of them. Distilled in the 1990s and left to age quietly for thirty plus years, held in tiny quantities even by the collectors fortunate enough to receive them from the court. It comes to us directly from one such custodian, the man to whom it was originally given, who has kept it for the better part of his life before entrusting it to KYMYA.

What sets it apart is what it lacks. Hindi oud is defined and for many limited by the barn: that animalic, fermented punch that announces Indian oud before anything else can. This oil has none of it. Through the delicate process ageing for three decades in the bottle, the barn is gone entirely, leaving only the noble heart of a great Hindi: dark dried fruits, worn leather, a deep resinous sweetness and a fine thread of spice over a warm, honeyed base. 

Every KYMYA Sultani is authenticated and stored to archival standard, to be experienced now and passed on intact to the next generation of collectors.
