Silani Royale

Silani is a novelty in itself, this little known region became a a household name overnight, providing absolute gems in terms of woods. In contemporary terms, this and Filipino were the craze over the last 5 years.

The distillations of oil from here are largely lacklustre, it takes a very long time before distillers in any region come up to the artisanal standard, much longer still before they can fully extract the aromatic wonders of the wood and convey them through a beautiful and balanced oil.

Sometimes, it's better to distill outside the region, with distillers who understand our process better. Several great oils have been created this way, whether it be the Qaboos oils around and even our own Taiwanese oils, crafted in Taiwan with woods from elsewhere.

When it comes to Silani, a friend of ours - placed with sourcing for rulers and sheikhs of some Gulf nations - is who we go to for the best Silani oud oil there is. Some of the Silani we have shared in the past was actually the remnants of batches crafted for Sheikhs in the Gulf. 

The quality of material used to distill these oils is second to none, distinguishing them from the majority of Silani oils out there, at a time when good material becomes scarcer and pricier. The distillation technique is pristine and masterful, with unique and spectacular oils as a result complete with wonderful and enigmatic scent profiles.
