Surrounded by the oud powerhouses of Malaysia & Indonesia, Brunei's oud is the pound for pound champion. For such a tiny region, it produces some of the greatest oud there is, essentially becoming the Nha Trang of Borneo - no other region here gives the sense of joy that Brunei does.
Unique aroma, eye watering quality & consistency are but a few reasons to list for why we've fallen in love with this region. Yet for all its incense, artisanal oud oils from Brunei are painstakingly rare to come across.

A natural orange & red coloured oil, it elegantly opens with notes of nuts & spices, sharply transcending into a honey & salted caramel like sweetness retaining a slight slight salty and medicinal like tone in heart notes.
Infusing the opening are sweet and medicinal kinam like tones, as if one were heating some of the finest Brunei agarwood, a type called soft silk in traditional grading systems, and known as Brunei kinam to others.
The dry down is the most distinct one could find in a brunei oil, with an abundance of notes of honey, nuts, spices, incense, tonka, vanilla & fruits.

Nawadir Al Arab [The Rarities of Arabs] was named for the heritage this collection hails from, a collection of fragrant jewels unearthed from a vault of one of the greatest collectors of agarwood there ever was.
Each oil has been aged for over ten years, perhaps never conceived for public release, by fate we were fortunate to be invited to take from this collection what we could - how we wish we could return for more.
unparalled rarity
The total yield of this oils was restricted to around 10 tolas (some 120mls or grams), such was the beauty of this oil, one royal Sheikha had reserved it all, yet by persistence we were able to obtain one precious tola for our own collection - the same tola we open up to the world here.
